Chloë Grace Moretz Sci-Fi Series Reflects Society’s Obsession With Tech In New Trailer

At New York Comic Con, Prime Video recently debuted the official trailer for its new sci-fi thriller series, The ringroad. Chloe Grace Moretz plays a young woman from 2032 who enters virtual “Sims” simulations to go to 2099 in order to quickly earn money to cover her dying mother’s medical bills.

What is The ringroad Everything on?

The The peripheral trailer features a well-crafted sci-fi tale that critiques society’s growing fixation on technology. Flynne Fisher (Moretz) decides to participate in a “Sim” that his brother Burton (Reynor) was asked to beta test at the start of the trailer. Flynn uses an avatar to experience a virtual “Sim” version of London in 2099.

Things take a dark turn, however, when the danger in “The Sim” begins to mix with Flynne’s present. The mind-blowing teaser is long-winded and reveals that the series will combine time travel themes with an examination of the dangers of technology.

The ringroad Cast, details, release date

Scott Smith created The ringroadwhich is based on the best-selling 2014 novel of the same name by William Gibson. The first episode of the series will be released later this month on Prime Video, with new episodes released weekly through December.

The ringroad also stars Jack Reynor, Gary Carr, Eli Goree, JJ Feild, T’Nia Miller, Charlotte Riley, Alex Hernandez, Adelind Horan, Amber Rose Revah and Austin Rising, in addition to Moretz.

Executive producers of The Peripheral include Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, as well as Vincenzo Natali, Athena Wickham, Steven Hoban and Greg Plageman. Natali directed the first episode of the series. Smith co-wrote several episodes of the show with Plageman and Jamie Chan. The show’s recurring cast also includes Louis Herthum, Chris Coy, Alexandra Billings, Melinda Page Hamilton and Katie Leung.

The ringroad will be available in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
