Jonathan Majors and Simu Liu to debut in ‘SNL’ hosting in November


Saturday Night Live Fans will be thankful this month, as the iconic comedy series will feature three consecutive live shows from coast to coast through the end of November, kicking off with host Kieran Culkin this Saturday 6. November.

Currently featured in hit HBO drama Succession, Culkin will do his SNL welcoming his debut alongside Ed Sheeran, returning for his third musical guest appearance to perform songs from his latest album “=.” Following his recent diagnosis of COVID-19, Sheeran recovered and was cleared to play.

First-time hosts and Marvel stars Jonathan Majors and Simu Liu round out the November roster. The hosts will be joined by musical guests Taylor Swift and Saweetie, respectively.

Well known for his role as Atticus Black in HBO’s one-season horror flick Lovecraft Country, Majors will debut as big bad MCU Kang the Conqueror in Loki on Disney +. The Emmy nominee also stars in the Netflix film The more they fall, premiering November 3. Liu, another Marvel star, broke box office records as the starring role in the franchise’s first Asian-led superhero film. Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings, which arrives on Disney + on November 12.

Former host and frequent musical guest Swift to celebrate fifth SNL appearance performing songs from her latest re-recorded album, “RED (Taylor’s Version)”. Rapper Saweetie has climbed the music charts with her hit single “Best Friend” and will be releasing her debut album “Pretty Bitch Music” next year.
